Biertan

SIGHISOARA – BIERTAN

Firt morning we get up early and take our breakfast with us to catch the early sunrise and the best possible light in biertan. We will be working on landscape photographs  at sunrise in Biertan village.  After sunrise our destination is a near village to meet with coal-burners and to photograph them while they make coal.

Our lunch will be in a nice restaurant in Biertan. After lunch we are heading to blacksmiths to capture them in their environment and to work on some candid portrait photographs.

We will leave blacksmiths before the sun starts to set so that we can capture some sunset photographs with the beautiful landscapes of Biertan while driving back to our hotel in Sighisoara.

Sighişoara

Since 1999, Sighisoara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site  and no doubt that it is truly one of the most beautiful places in Transylvania. A charming and fascinating small ton in central Transylvania with its medieval look.  There are many things to see and do in Sighisoara, although the real attraction is the medieval architecture, beautifully preserved, a glimpse into past centuries and dear memories. People still live in colorful houses and the cobblestone streets are lively even at night outside the tourist season. If you are curious about medieval Romania Sighisoara is a perfect location for  architectural photography. 

Sighisoara is known since the 13th century and with its fortified churches built by Transylvanian Saxon population as a safeguard against the Tatar and Ottoman invasions.

SIGHIŞOARA – VISCRI

We leave our hotel early in the morning to capture Sigihsoara at sunrise. Not going far from our hotel, after working on sunrise pictures we head back to our hotel for our breakfast and some rest and for others who wants to work and organize their photographs. After our rest, we leave our hotel to drive to Viscri Village which is 1 hour away from Sighisoara.

Viscri, is an old Saxon village which is a Unesco  World Heritage Site and a place known with the guest houses Prince Charles own and thus visit often. We plan to make some images in the village and its people and also photograph the 12th century fortified church of Viscri and around. After our visit to Viscri Churhc we will be visiting another blacksmith to photograph.

After having our lunch in a local restaurant we are heading towards hills to experience the village life of people around with their sheeps and flock of sheeps and also to photograph some landscape photographs at sunset. We will have our dinner at our hotel in Sighisoara.

The house of Dracula where he lived 7 years now serves as Dracula Restauran.

SIGHISOARA – MEDIAS

We are starting our last day in our hotel and after our breakfast we will be working on the images we make, selections and critique our images. After our lunch we will be heading to town of Medias. We will be spending the rest of the day in Medias until sunset and work on landscape photographs at sunset. After sunset we are driving back to our hotel for dinner and rest.

MURES – İSTANBUL

We leave our hotel early to catch our connecting flight from Targu Mures to Bucharest at 06:00 am with Romanian Airlines, RO 726 and after an hour flight to Bucharest we connect our flight to Istanbul which departs at 08:35, RO 261.
